INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:
Our company is seeking a finance and accounting major interested in obtaining practical experience in all areas of accounting, purchasing and inventory principles. The Intern will be responsible for coordinating and working with our accounting, purchasing and inventory systems for record accuracy using established policies and procedures, and performing basic bookkeeping and data entry functions, and identifying, reconciling, and documenting discrepancies. They will update supplier related information and provide support for the active projects critical to the business. The intern will work closely with the Controller and Supply Chain Manager.
The intern position is a shared internship between accounting and supply chain. Both positions will be responsible for accounting principles and procedures of both departments and may work exclusively for one department or the other or be shared between the two intermittently.

The Staff Accountant position assists the Controller in the accounting operations of the company. This includes timely and accurate data entry and proper maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, all to enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Associate’s degree in electronics, communications or similar program, or comparable military training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge or ability required in these technologies/functions:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation associated with communications and networking systems manuals, technical procedures and technical standards. Ability to effectively convey facts on documentation pertaining to day-to-day activities. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and other technical personnel.
Ability to perform complex calculations related to electronic systems performance, configuration and interconnection.
